Inspirational lady

I have stuck to my plan to ask people what they goto the gym for
So i asked a lovely lady i have seen going to my gym for quite a while.
First thing anyone will notice is she uses crutches and has an obvious challenge to walk.
I just simply asked if she minded me asking what she gets out of the gym
The reply was inspirational
She said she was in a wheelchair as a result of a broken back and was told she would never walk again, she didn't need to say no more as the result of obvious hard work and determination showed, as she was up on her feet in front of me.
I also feel i have to point out this lady looked fantastic too in great shape and tone and a v healthy look about her.
I do know this lady needs medication also to deal with pain.
I never push for too much information as not everyone is like me and is ok to open up about everything.
i wonder how many people in this situation have not had the opportunity or inclination to go down a route to walking again and accepted what they are told is their fated future.
I also know of a man who after a brain heamorrhage at a young age was told he would never walk again yet i meet him regularly and he is walking unaided
He also engages in regular exercise, therapy and gym sessions

Exercise benefits with Neuro and Mental Health

I have never been keen on medication, not even a simple paracetamol
The gym has been a pass time, passion and an outlet for stress since i was 14 years old.
Having Tourettes Syndrome, ADHD, OCD and a few other conditions related i find i am constantly offered one medication after another
I also find medication is the very first option offered whenever i see someone new in the medical profession and i have always refused apart from one occasion when i was convinced to try this wonderful medication Citalopram.
After 6 month i realised this was not the fantastic medication for me and soon stopped
Regular use of the gym seems to be keeping me going and keeps me off medication and i am finding other gym users have mental health issues and use the gym in place of medication
So I've decided to start asking people i meet in the gym the real reason behind their training and i will be posting short reports to reflect the benefits of exercise and the whole experience of the gym against medication.
It works for me and many other this doesn't mean it will work for everyone and it might only work with some medication but the side effects of exercise are positive in relation to side effects of medication
this is based on my experiences and opinions and the experience and opinions of others
